Music River is a fun CD & Cassette collection of eleven songs and one poem celebrating whitewater paddling and the river experience in the great outdoors.
The collection was written by canoeist Brant Miller and kayaker Tom Joy and was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee in July of 1993. Brant is the lead vocalist on most of the songs and is also heard on acoustic guitar, harmonica and mandolin. His straightforward vocals compliment the down-to-earth themes of these unique songs about canoeing, kayaking and rafting, and there is no lack of humor to be found! Other instruments include *hot* fiddle, lead acoustic guitar, dobro and electric bass. Jenny Ringle adds her soulful lead vocals to a couple of songs and sings backup on most others.
The CD booklet / Cassette J-card even includes a glossary of terms used in the songs - for those new to whitewater paddling.
